JODI: Russia remains world’s second largest oil producer in August
MOSCOW, Oct 17 (PRIME) -- Russia remained the world’s second largest oil producer after the U.S. for a ninth consecutive month in August, with output rising 1.6% on the month to 10.773 million barrels per day, the Joint Organizations Data Initiative (JODI) said in a report late on Thursday.
The U.S. produced 12.374 million barrels daily on average in August. Saudi Arabia occupied the third place with a daily output of 9.789 million tonnes.
Russia’s oil refining grew 1.4% on the month to 6.146 million barrels per day.
